For my personal project this year, I decided on creating a book about the effects covid-19 has on mental and physical health.
I used this opportunity of personal project to try to help people know they are not alone, and to let people know they should just check up on their friends and family. This project’s goal is to not only to help people now but also those in the future to deepen their understanding of this aspect of the virus. The global context for this project is “identities and relationships” defined as “Who we are: an inquiry into the nature of the self; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities and cultures; rights and responsibilities; what it means to be human.” ("Ligiids: Community Project: Global Context") I specifically chose this global context for my project mainly because it defines as one’s overall health and wellbeing, which heavily links to my project since the main focus of it is mental and physical health during covid-19. It particularly links to the identity aspect due to covid-19 making many people say they feel as if every day is the same and they do not feel like their usual self, as if they have lost their identity, making them feel stressed and anxious and “useless”
