Today I created an Instagram page for my personal project. I wanted to be able to have as much research as possible, and I also wanted to use the Instagram page as sort of "second product". I am planning on using it to promote my book (main, final product) so I can have a larger amount of readers to reach my initial goal. On my criteria, I had also mentioned I needed to have some sort of platform to promote the book on, so I did that via Instagram. My aim is to get at least 30 followers in a week, and gradually increase that number.
I am also going to use the Instagram page to further raise awareness, help people, educate, etc. as Instagram is a very highly used social media platform, so doing so will be efficient. I am going to use my art and DD skills to create a logo for my Instagram page, as I want the page to be as professional and eye catching as possible.

I am nearly half way done with my criteria and action plan. We were told to create them ourselves for our whole personal project. Firstly, creating the criteria was very hard in the beginning. I didn't even know where to start and what proper language to use in it, but as I looked through the samples and previous criterias, I got a clear idea of how my criteria should be layed out, what language should be used, and etc. It took me a while to understand, but I am nearly half way done with it, and its look a lot like an actual criteria now, which I am very happy about. I think it will take me just a few more days and then I will fully complete it. I am planning on submitting everything on the 24 or 25th of August just so I can go over my work and add little things to it.
The action plan was confusing and still sort of is. I do not really know what I am supposed to write after as I am not too sure what I plan on doing later on. Since we are allowed to edit it throughout the year, I will just do half of it, and then add onto it as the year goes when I am more sure of what to write. As of now, I have only completed a bit of it, but I will for sure complete it in a few days fully. Everything is honestly very stressful. I talked to a few of my friends from school and they agree too. We have gotten so much work in the summer and we have little time to ourselves to actually relax. My mental health has been... weird lately too. I feel so stressed, weak and over worked these days. I just want to sleep for once without worrying that I have personal project work to do. I guess it will be fine in a while, I can't do anything about it now. I am currently creating my initial proposal for my personal project. I was at first thinking of doing a project on space, but later realized it wasn't something that was ideal for me to do as it was heavily related to physics, which I was dropping as a subject, and in general this idea was hard to do and someone else had already chosen it. Due to these reasons, I changed my idea and decided to do something challenging but more understandable and something that was related to what I wanted to do in the future. I changed my idea to do with coronavirus. My idea for my personal project is about studying and observing how the behavior of humans has changed in order to adapt to the current pandemic going on, using photography and psychology skills. Since I am very interested in photography and psychology, and psychology is something I want to persue in the future, I decided this idea would be the best for me.
Now, we had to do a initial proposal on managebac, and this was also easy. I had already decided what my global context, goal and topic was, which made this part easy to do. I was tied between creating a video and a book. My project wouldn’t be well displayed through the video; therefore, my final decision was to create a book. This part was a little hard as I was confused on what I should initially do. The thing that made this all easier was that the PP supervisor had approved my chosen idea immediately. Today I finished off making my mindmap of ideas and interests and shortlist topics. This is the beginning of my personal project, so doing this was relatively easy as I already had a clear idea of what I wanted to do, and I already knew my interests. I had an idea in mind that I was very interested in doing, so I decided on going for that, and linked it to a global context, which wasn’t too complicated at all. Creating the mindmap itself gave me a much clearer and thorough idea of the potential my personal project will have, and in general information about it. Looking at the previous year 11's personal project's and having conversations with them at their exhibition really enabled me to have a clear view of what the coming year was going to look like for me and how I should manage everything properly. The advice given to me by them was helpful, things like, "make sure to do at least 1-2 hours of personal project work everyday", to, "always submit the work a week before the deadline". Although it is a bit overwhelming, I feel prepared and ready for everything now.
